I filmed this myself, on foot, the way you would actually walk it. Watch the light, the crowd and the pace of Shinjuku before you decide how to spend your evening there. This is one of 25 walks I have filmed in Shinjuku.

The city in miniature: skyscrapers west, Golden Gai's tin-roof bars and Omoide Yokocho's yakitori smoke east, Shinjuku Gyoen's gardens an unexpected hush in the middle. Day and night feel like two cities.
